Chickens make excellent urban and rural pets and will enjoy living in lots of different environments. It is important to understand how to look after and care for chickens properly to ensure they live happy lives. Small cages, and poor healthcare all impair a chickens quality of life. We started Chicken management to help improve people's understanding of chickens and teach owners how to take good care of their birds in order to be rewarded with lovely eggs and entertainment.

Appledore cottage is the home to our fun beginners 'Hen Parties' and children’s workshops, where you can learn the basics of chicken keeping in a rustic setting.

We will travel to where you would like to hold a chicken keeping course. This is ideal for schools and veterinary practices or private courses at your residence.

Chicken Management carries out talks, workshops and courses on all aspects of poultry keeping. Courses are run mainly in the south west, but we do travel to other locations by arrangement, including schools and veterinary practices. Children’s workshops are also available on request. About Us
